A real Dj veteran, started his career in the late 70s, playing soul in a wine bar in London. Soon decided to move to NYC, just to taste some fresh beats and get in touch with new music cultures. Getting in Harlem clubs, he started facing hip-hop sound, which was borning among the streets and the buildings in poorer quarters and quickly became one of the pioneer anf authority for the genre. When he got back to London, he had been already one of the most reliable voices in hiphop and signed artists like Jaazy Jeff and The Fresh Prince and Salt’n'Pepa, for Champion. He was one of the contributor of Ibiza clubbing-paradise-fame. Getting there for a holiday in the 1985, he felt in love with the clubing atmosphere and the way of mixing so many kinds of music on single night and tried to export such an attitude to European dancefloors. He started from Streatham club to try the crew with that odd way of feeling music, mixing so many styles and feelings and succeed giving life to Spectrum at Heaven in Changing Cross London Night. That became one of the most popular club with such a popular event like this. In 1988 Paul started is career as a Producer with his label called Electra. A couple of years later, he had became the remixer for Massive Attack, Arrest Development, New Order and The Shamen and change the name of the label into Perfecto. In 1992 he remixed U2′s “Even Better Than The Real Thing”, which had even more success in charts than the original one! A year later he used to open U2′s shows in Zooropa tour and got voted number one Dj in the world by Dj magazine readers. All this contributed to expand his label making it one of the most choosen one to produce Trance music and electro vibes in general. In mid 90s he got residence in Liverpool club “Cream” which raised his status to a cult Dj with fans adoring him like a pop-star. In 1999 he became director of music at home in Leichester, which risked to ruin off afetr his departure. But Paul wanted more and turned down all his European fame to try fortune in the USA, which still was reluctant to dance music. He got to Cuba with his own decks and organized an underground party, with no promotion or legal authorisation and started spreading off his tunes. And there it went, in 2001 he was remixing Planet of The Apes theme for Hollywood and carrying his music on a US tour. At the moment he just swings to and fro the US and UK just make the dancefloor shaking and to breathe the vibes of his own art.
