Another proof good dance music doesn’t come only from the UK or Germany. Bob Sinclar, a guy from Paris, is a part of dance soul of Paris, giving always a little more to French music and clubbing. Chris Lefriant (his real name) started bringing his stuff in Europe, in the late 90s when Daft Punk and Cassius were having a big smash in climbing European charts. First his name was casting a shade of mistery, feeding legends and rumors about it and thus contributed to make his name known by a larger amount of people. Coming from the suburbs of Paris and having clubbed in the 80s providing house, elettro jazz, soul and hiphop, in 1997 he could create his first song “Saw The Power” and a year later he produced the legendary “Gym Tonic” which conquered so many fans throughout the world. After a little while, his first album “Paradise” was ready to rock on dancefloor giving him another success and more and more fame. A couple of years after appeared his second work called “Champs Elysées” perfectly followed the success of the first one, in which a more experienced producer Bob Sinclar, could provide even a better work tyhan in the first album. In the same time, he helped other French producer in compiling stuff about afro-caribbean-ethnic percussion albums. His third album “III” out in 2003 was really revolutionary for him. Getting further from electro-loop stuff, really concentrated in real-played music, producing the perfect album which could please anyone’s taste. The style was really huge, full of orchestra arrangements, riding Cerrone’s 70s tradition, trying to bring back classics and providing music French Dj could be proud of. At the moment, after climbing the peak of dance music, he enjoys producing brazilian dub music and got a deal with New Yorker distribution Tommy Boy Entertainment. His last single “Love Generation” from high anticipated fourth album “Western Dream”, is still pumping on world-wide dancefloors and has already sold more than 120.000 pieces. That’s another point which increases French “Grandeur”!
